The Mowag Eagle IV
| With the EAGLE IV MOWAG is on the way to set another standard in the domain of armoured wheeled vehicles in the weight class up to 8.5 tons. It is suitable as reconnaissance, communications, patrol and observation vehicle in missions abroad and in the home country. |
| The EAGLE IV is based on the advanced MOWAG DURO III chassis technology with its patented roll stabilizer and the proven DeDion-type axle system. It is distinguished through a very high payload versus a low GVW, with a high ballistic and mine protection level as well as exceptional mobility both on- and off-road. The high logistic commonality with the DURO allow to optimize life cycle cost. |
| The EAGLE IV provides protection against ballistic weapons and mines in accordance with the international standards. It can be equipped with NBC overpressure system, central tire inflation system (CTIS), winch, mission related cargo module, EURO IV engine, and other optional equipment. |
The Mowag Duro IIIP
| The DURO IIIP 6x6 is a well protected highly mobile off-road tactical transport vehicle, based on the proven DURO family of vehicles which are in operation world-wide and were especially developed for military requirements and applications. Today, more than 4'000 vehicles are in operation worldwide. |
| The DURO IIIP 6x6 is a three-axle, multi-purpose vehicle, powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine. The permanent all-wheel drive is controlled by a 5-speed automatic gearbox as well as by a two-range transfer case. All axle and inter-axle differentials are of the TORSEN self-locking type. The DeDion-type axles are suspended with coil springs, and the patented stabilizer system allows axle twisting in off-road situations, and prevents body rolling during on-road operation. The stabilizer system and the self-locking TORSEN differentials, together with the long wheel travel, provide outstanding mobility for on-road and off-road driving. |
| The DURO IIIP 6x6 has a modular protection concept. With add-on armour kits the protection level of the cabin and of the shelter can be adapted to the mission requirements. The vehicle provides full protection against light machine gun fire and against light anti tank mine threats. Due to the large protected utility volume, various mission kits according to custmers' requirements easily can be integrated into the vehicle. |
